There are a number of dust covered homes that could very well be the remains of an 'Ikana Castle Town' in the area. Since the Shiekah are to watch over the Royal Family and Triforce, they would be none to pleased with its selfish use by the Royal Family and would have defected. This is similar enough to the Shiekah that I'm willing to believe that they are parallels. The Garo are a tribe of shadow people with Ninja-like characteristics. Hopefully some of the more minor details below help fill in how aspects about this could fit in to my timeline. Skull Kid's trickery brings the dead of Ikana from unrest. The scorched land that is Ikana never heals, however. No longer unified under a single banner, the lesser groups we see in Majora's Mask have room to expand on their own, which is one of the reasons the Gorons, for example, have little to no contact with the Zora. The Goddesses chose to just wipe the land clean deeming evil too overrun in the Kingdom of Ikana to be reparable (This isn't without precedent, as we see from the flooding of Hyrule). The final act that the Goddesses would suffer no more was the usage of the Triforce, their divine gift, for the building of the Stone Tower Temple, a horrific mirror to the Temple of Time with the purpose of ascending and usurping the Goddesses themselves. If one is trying to compare this to a typical human empire, this is when the Ikana Kingdom would go from stabilization to decay. Instead of being thwarted by making a overt attempt at the Triforce, they corrupt the nature of the Ikana Royal Family, who begin to use its power to make themselves stronger as a nation, possibly having their good intentions used against them.Īs the Royal Family uses the Triforce more and more, power, as it often does, leads to pride. The Termina parallel to the Interlopers, possibly the same group that created the Majora's Mask appears in the Ikana Kingdom.

The Kingdom of Ikana makes allies with other nations in the Ikana Kingdom, likely the Gorons, Zora, Deku, and possibly others. The Ikana Royal Family is gifted with the Triforce, and given the duty of safeguarding it. Namely, their right is more justified, since they were actually given instruction to guard over the Triforce by the Gods, and the Goddesses gave them the Shiekah as aids, protectors, watchers, and as a back up in case things go south.Ĭompare this now to Ikana: It has what is referred to as the 'Ikana Royal Family.' But where is the Triforce, where are the Shiekah? I think providing for a different history can make things easily fall into place. In Hyrule, there is a Monarchical Ruling Family referred to as 'The Royal Family' and they rule because of the concept of Divine Right (A lot of real world empires were founded on such a basis). To fill in the details would require me to make a bit of conjecture to its timeline, since there is obviously something differing given the state we see it in throughout the course of Majora's Mask. The short of is that Ikana is a parallel to Hyrule's Royalty. So forgive me if I'm in the wrong sub or am missing something crucial, but I have something to propose in regards to the mysterious land of Ikana from Majora's Mask.
